Identity Holdings, Inc. (“IHI” or “we”) provides the KnowMeNow Web Sites (“the Service”) for your use. This privacy policy describes how information that you provide is collected, used, and shared in connection with your use of the Service.
Important Highlights
The Service is provided as a benefit to you and other users of the Service. IHI has full access to all of the information that we obtain about you and your use of the Service, including:
- all Registration Information that you provide during the registration process (such as your name and job title);
- all User Content that you provide when using the Service (such as information you supply when you send instant messages, post on blogs, or answer online surveys and assessment questions); and
- all Log Data about your use of the Service (such as your IP address, the times and dates you access the Service, and your navigation and participation patterns when using the Service).
All of your User Content and Registration Information may be available to all other users of the Service. You cannot restrict other users access to your information. Certain discussion or other affinity groups on the Service may be restricted to individuals who meet the criteria established by IHI and disclosed on the Service, but beyond this, all information is generally available to any user of the Service. IHI does not control how other users of the Service use your information. Those users may disclose to third parties or post publicly any information that you supply when using the Service.
Even after you have deleted information (including Registration Information and User Content) from your profile or account, it nonetheless may be retained and/or archived by IHI or other users of the Service.
IHI also collects and uses your Registration Information, User Content, and Log Data for certain purposes when you use the Service. We take your privacy seriously. Information about our collection and use of your information is set forth below.
The Information We Collect
We collect Registration Information that you provide about yourself in order to populate your profile, personalize your experience on the Service, and authenticate you to use the Service. Such information might include your name, contact information, position, title, birth date, gender, race, ethnicity, marital status, education, employment history, user id, or designated password.
When you use the Service, we collect User Content from you. This includes any information or content that you supply when using the Service, answer assessment questions, send instant messages, post on blogs, and respond to online surveys and referenda.
When you use the Service, our servers automatically collect Log Data about your use of the Service. Such information includes your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the address of the web page you came from, and your browser type and language. We also collect information about your navigation patterns and participation in various elements of the Service. IHI also may set a cookie, which is a small amount of data that often includes unique identifier, which is sent to your browser from our Service and stored on your computer’s hard drive. You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. (Each browser is different, so check the “Help” menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.) If you reject all cookies, you may not be able to use Service.
How We Use the Information That We Collect
We use your Registration Information, User Content, and Log Data to provide the Service; to personalize your experience when using the Service; to operate our business; to evaluate, improve, and/or ensure the security of the Service; to develop new products and services; to track usage; to comply with applicable law; and to protect or enforce the rights of IHI or its affiliates. We may retain and/or archive information about you even after you have deleted it from your profile or account.
Our Sharing of Information
Except in the limited circumstances described below, we will not share the information that we collect about you and your use of the Service:
- Your Registration Information and User Content will be available to all other users of the Service. IHI does not control how other users of the Service collect, use, or share your information.
- We may share your Registration Information, User Content, or Log Data to comply with the law or legal process, to enforce our Terms and Conditions of Use, to protect or enforce the rights of IHI or its affiliates, to protect against fraud, and/or to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of IHI or any individual or entity.
- We may share your Registration Information, User Content, or Log Data with service providers and contractors, but only for the purpose of providing the Service.
- We may share your Registration Information, User Content, or Log Data in connection with the sale or transfer of our business. If we sell or transfer all or part of IHI’s business to a third party, we will require the recipient to notify you of and to obtain your consent for any use of personal data or user-supplied content in a manner that is inconsistent with this policy.
- We may share with third parties aggregate data or de-identified information that does not identify you or your employer.
Other Information
The servers that host the Service are located in the United States. If you reside outside of the United States, your Registration Information, User Content, and Log Data may be transferred to and processed in a country in which you do not reside, including, in particular but without limitation, the United States.
IHI and/or other users of the Service may supply links to external web sites in connection with the Service. If you navigate to an external site, this privacy policy will not apply to your activities there. Please refer to the privacy policy posted on the external site for a description of how your information will be collected, used, and shared by the operators of that site.
We have implemented reasonable security measures to protect users Registration Information, User Content, and Log Data. Importantly, however, no security measure is foolproof or impenetrable, and IHI cannot control the actions of other users of the Service.
We reserve the right to change this privacy policy by placing a prominent notice on the Web Site. The new privacy policy will apply to any information we collect about you subsequent to the change. Your continued use of the Service after IHI has posted a revised privacy policy signifies your acceptance of that revised policy.
